Code of Conduct  Philosophy   In these dark times, having a friend for company makes the whole DAoC experience enjoyable.  Irreverant is a guild that believes in sociability, helping, and providing a family oriented RPG experience.  Irreverent typically means Critical of what is generally accepted or respected; satirical.  As Irreverants we poke fun at the pompous jaded guilds.    Code of Conduct   -No bad words. We maintain a family friendly chat. Any non PG-13 chat must be taken it to a CG. Sexually explicit language of any kind in /gu or /as violates this rule. First strike gets warning, in both /as and /gu so that everyone knows that a particular person has been reprimanded and what for. Public reprimand in both /as and /gu will make sure that all officers will know who and what is going on and will be able to help if the second and third strike arise with the when and where of it. Second strike gets a probation period. Length will be determined by how serious the language/whatever was. If chat rules are broken in /as, the rule-breaker will lose /as for a length of time, again determined by the seriousness of the ''crime". If in /gu, the rule-breaker will find his or her Rank lowered for a probationary period to emphasize that we are serious and further disregard for the rules will not be tolerated. Third strike will result in being booted from guild. Violators may reapply for guild invitation, and officers rank 3 and above will vote on the issue. Excessive use of WTF and other excessive uses of the F word will earn the same consequences as those for violating the sexually explicit language rule. The definition of excessive is left up to the discretion of officers rank 3 and above, and each case will be discussed individually among officers. -No Harassment.  Any harassment of any kind is not tolerated.  Problems with fellow guildees can be settled with arbitration. Problems with alliance members can be taken up with Alliance leader.  Problems with non-alliance members should be taken up with that guild in addition to keeping our GMs/officer informed about the situation.  Extreme situation should be reported using the appeal system.  -Follow the Alliance Rules Be respectful to alliance members, even if they disrespect you. You can always turn alliance chat off until tempers cool off. Everyone likes to have fun in /as, but don't let it get out of hand. NO swearing or spamming in /as.  -Raid/Bgs Anytime you join a bg raid or non-raid, you basically agree to follow the BG leader's rules. GMs and officers will not interfere with the decisions of the BG leader even if he/she is a guildee. You always reserve the right to leave the BG.   -Arbitration Anytime there is a dispute in the Guild, the guildees involved can have the dispute resolved through arbitration.  The guildees each pick an officer to represent them and then the parties pick a GM to be judge so the decision will be binding.  A GM can elect an officer to judge in his/her stead, but the final decision is made by the GMs.  Any appeal/reversal of a decision has to be by unanimous consent of the GMs.   -Power Leveling Council members don't have a problem with power leveling a toon that needs help.  But they do have a right to refuse.  NO BEGGING.  Most guildees will help you if you demonstrate knowledge and willingness to master your toons. Occasionally one of the GMs or officers will host an open pl, which means a farming session that you're welcome to join to help level your toon. However, even baby toons can help kill mobs, so excessive (more than one or two minutes) AFKing is discouraged.
