Travelers is a family guild on <span class=3DSpellE>Stromm</span>, and a pr=
oud
member of the <span class=3DSpellE>Norrathian</span> Council of Guilds. We =
were
formed in December 2005 from a merger between Destructive Nature and Happy
Travelers. Although many of us enjoy raiding, we are not a raiding guild, a=
nd
attendance at raids is never required. We choose to be in a guild of
like-minded players with similar values and a similar approach to the game.=
<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<h1><span style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'>Our Values<o:p></o:p></sp=
an></h1>

spect.</span></i></span><span
style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'><o:p></o:p></span></h2>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>We treat o=
ther
players in <span class=3DSpellE>Norrath</span> with respect at all times. T=
his
means within DT, the NCG, and EQ as a whole. Your guild tag means something,
and your actions will reflect on Destructive Travelers as a whole for good =
or
ill. We encourage members to help each other out, and be good citizens of t=
he
world we play in. If you make a commitment, follow through on it. If you ha=
ve a
disagreement with another, keep it civil and courteous. If you cannot resol=
ve
it, escalate it to one of the Guild Officers or Guild Leader. As a last res=
ort,
take it up with a GM. But using abusive language, arguing in public channel=
s,
and seeking to harm the other party by training, <span class=3DSpellE>KSing=
</span>,
or other more creative means are not acceptable.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<h2><span class=3DGramE><i><span style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'>Re=
sponsibility.</span></i></span><span

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>We take re=
sponsibility
for ourselves, our behavior, and our advancement through the game. While we
seek to provide an environment where we can get to know our fellow <span
class=3DSpellE>DTers</span> and are happy to help out, in the end it&#8217;=
s your
own responsibility to take the steps needed to get what you want out of the
game.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

n.</span></i></span><span
style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'><o:p></o:p></span></h2>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>Above all,=
 this
is a game. It should be fun &#8211; and in DT, that enjoyment will not come=
 at
the expense of others. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<h1><span style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'>Our Policies<o:p></o:p></=
span></h1>

<h2><i><span style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'>Chat.</span></i><span
style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'><o:p></o:p></span></h2>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>Language u=
sed
within guild chat and other public channels should be appropriate. Racial
slurs, obscene language, and sexual references can be taken offensively and
they tend to reflect on your character and affect how you are viewed. We
understand that sometimes you may get frustrated and need to vent. <b>We are
not the <st1:place w:st=3D"on"><st1:PlaceType w:st=3D"on">Church</st1:Place=
Type> of
 <st1:PlaceName w:st=3D"on"><span class=3DSpellE>Norrath</span></st1:PlaceN=
ame></st1:place>,
we just don't feel foul language is a great form of casual communication. <=
/b>If
a member states that they are offended by what you have said, simply apolog=
ize,
and move on. We do not need any disputes of this &quot;childish&quot; nature
among our ranks.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>Do not beg=
 in OOC
or shouts anywhere. Asking if buffs are available (KEI, Conviction, Virtue,
etc.) is fine if you are willing to pay for it, but asking for those buffs =
for
free, items for free, or handouts of plat is not acceptable.<o:p></o:p></sp=
an></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>Teasing and
joking are fun and happen all the time. However, it is possible to take it =
too
far. If someone tells you that you&#8217;ve stepped over the line, apologize
and back off.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>If you nee=
d help
with something you&#8217;re trying to do, whether it&#8217;s forming a grou=
p or
getting a few extra people to help with a raid, <span class=3DGramE>it&#821=
7;s</span>
fine to ask in Guild or NCG chat &#8211; a few times. Spamming the channels=
 is
not appropriate. Trying to &#8216;guilt&#8217; people into showing up is ev=
en
worse. If you don&#8217;t get the showing you need after 15-30 minutes, acc=
ept
that people are busy with other things and try again at another time.<o:p><=
/o:p></span></p>

<h2><span class=3DGramE><i><span style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'>Lo=
ot.</span></i></span><span
style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'><o:p></o:p></span></h2>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>Getting go=
od
gear and valuable loot is nice. Doing so at the expense of your relations w=
ith
others and Destructive Travelers&#8217; reputation is not.<o:p></o:p></span=
></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>Loot rules=
 for
NCG raids and DT Guild Events are posted ahead of time. You are expected to
comply with those rules without complaint at the time of the event. If you =
have
an issue, take it up outside the event. In the case of DT Guild Event loot
rules, they are posted on this web site. Feel free to post your questions
and/or concerns, and bring them up for discussion. If your point is a good =
one,
a modification can be made, or at the very least an explanation of why the
decision was made should be communicated to you. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>Loot rules=
 for
group situations are at the discretion of the group, and should be agreed on
when the group first forms. If you don&#8217;t like the decision of the gro=
up,
you always have the right to leave. Don&#8217;t be greedy. If you win somet=
hing
nice, let someone else have the next nice drops. Don&#8217;t take something=
 for
an alt not in the group unless no one in the group would use. <span
class=3DGramE>Never, ever, ninja loot.</span><o:p></o:p></span></p>

<h2><em><span style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'>/Anon</span></em><span
style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'><o:p></o:p></span></h2>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>Being a me=
mber
of Destructive Travelers is something to be proud of, and we want to be pro=
ud
of having you as a member. As such, playing with /anon status is not allowe=
d.
Rare exceptions may be made with the permission of the officers, such as wh=
en
preparing for a guild event where secrecy is needed to avoid spoiling the e=
vent
for others. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>Using /<sp=
an
class=3DSpellE>roleplay</span> status is fine.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<h2><span class=3DGramE><em><span style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'>R=
aiding.</span></em></span><span
style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'><o:p></o:p></span></h2>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>Our allian=
ce
with the NCG provides many opportunities for raiding, if that&#8217;s somet=
hing
that appeals to you. We also have Guild raids scheduled periodically, which=
 you
are encouraged to attend.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>You are ne=
ver
required to attend a raid. But if you do attend, you are expected to follow=
 the
Raid Leader&#8217;s rules, and behave in a courteous manner. NEVER descend =
into
an argument during a raid. If you disagree, feel free to bring up your poin=
t in
a courteous manner if it&#8217;s immediately relevant, but if you don&#8217=
;t
get a response, let it drop. The time for debate about raid tactics or rule=
s is
either before or after the raid, not during. Don&#8217;t send tells to the =
raid
leader, unless instructed to. They have enough to deal with. Don&#8217;t ev=
er
speak in /<span class=3DSpellE>rs</span> (raid say) unless you&#8217;ve
explicitly been given permission. If you have a question, ask in your group=
 or
in guild chat. People will often be able to answer it for you.<o:p></o:p></=
span></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>If you nee=
d a
raid for something you wish to accomplish, i.e. your Epic 1.0 or 1.5, there=
 are
many routes you can take. Depending on how hard the target is, we may be ab=
le
to work it into a Guild event. You can set up your own raid through the NCG.
But be aware that people are more likely to be willing to help you when
you&#8217;ve built up a good reputation by helping others as well.<o:p></o:=
p></span></p>

<h2><span class=3DGramE><i><span style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'>Gr=
ouping.</span></i></span><span
style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'><o:p></o:p></span></h2>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>Although it
would be nice, the guild is not always able to provide groups for everyone.
Please do not think of the guild as your personal LFG tool. Sometimes you w=
ill
need to go outside the guild to find groups. Using NCG chat is a good place=
 to
start, or the EQ LFG tool. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>Getting a =
group
is your responsibility, not that of the guild.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>Many membe=
rs of
DT have groups of other players they have gotten to know over many months a=
nd
years, and consider these people to be their friends. Sometimes they are
real-life couples, family, and/or friends, with an understandable desire to
play together. Sometimes there will be room for you in these established
groups. Sometimes there won&#8217;t be. But it isn&#8217;t realistic to exp=
ect
that people who like to play together will break up their normal group to m=
ake
room for you. Don&#8217;t take it personally.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>Often if y=
ou
need something specific, it will work better to make arrangements ahead of =
time
with the people you need. But if you do this, make sure you show up on time=
 and
ready to go.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<h2><span class=3DGramE><i><span style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'>Gu=
ild
Events.</span></i></span><span style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'><o:p=
></o:p></span></h2>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>We hold pe=
riodic
Guild events, both raiding and informal get-togethers with fun activities. =
We
hope that if you are online at the time, you will attend, though attendance=
 is
never mandatory. Doing guild events together helps us get to know each other
better and builds a stronger guild, as well as providing us a means of help=
ing
each other out with things we can&#8217;t quite accomplish on our own. <o:p=
></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>Loot rules=
 for
Guild raids are posted on the website.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<h2><i><span style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'>Power leveling.</span>=
</i><span
style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'><o:p></o:p></span></h2>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>Do not ask=
 to be
power leveled. Zipping through levels at warp speed leaves you with a
high-level <span class=3DSpellE>toon</span> that you don&#8217;t really kno=
w how
to play. The same is true of gaining all of your levels through monster mis=
sions.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<h2><span class=3DGramE><i><span style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'>New
members.</span></i></span><span style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'><o:=
p></o:p></span></h2>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>We are alw=
ays
willing to accept new members who will be good additions to Destructive
Travelers. While members of all levels are accepted, most of our mains are =
in
the 65-70 range and opportunities for grouping and participation in guild e=
vents
will be more limited for <span class=3DSpellE>toons</span> of lower levels.=
 <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>Real-life =
family
and friends of DT members in good standing will be accepted into the guild
automatically unless they are known to have committed an offense that would=
 get
them removed.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>A prospect=
ive member
can apply by filling out an application on this site. That application will
then be posted in the Officer&#8217;s Forum for consideration and comment f=
or
up to a week, though usually a decision will be made within 2-3 days. <span
class=3DGramE>Criteria for acceptance is</span> whether or not the officers=
 feel
the applicant will be a good fit with Destructive Travelers.<o:p></o:p></sp=
an></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>After being
accepted, a new member will be on probationary status for a month. During t=
his
time, the new member is welcome and encouraged to attend Guild raids and ot=
her
guild events. However, within official Guild raids, the new member will not=
 be
able to win any loot unless it would otherwise rot.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>The probat=
ionary
period may be waived under certain circumstances, to be determined by the
officers. At this time the only circumstance envisioned is in the event of a
merger with another guild. Those new members would enter DT with full member
status.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<h2><span class=3DGramE><i><span style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'>Al=
ts.</span></i></span><span
style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'><o:p></o:p></span></h2>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>We do not =
have
any restrictions in place about how many alts you may have in DT. However, =
we
do expect that once your main is <span class=3DSpellE>guilded</span> in DT,=
 your
commitment is to Destructive Travelers. We encourage you to have any freque=
ntly
played alts <span class=3DSpellE>guilded</span> as well.<o:p></o:p></span><=
/p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>If you ever
choose to leave DT with your main <span class=3DSpellE>toon</span> on <span
class=3DSpellE>Stromm</span>, you will not be allowed to leave your alts in=
 DT.
They will be <span class=3DSpellE>deguilded</span> as soon as we learn your=
 main
has been tagged with another guild. Similarly, if we should learn after
you&#8217;ve been accepted that the <span class=3DSpellE>toon</span> you&#8=
217;ve
joined DT with as your main is actually an alt, you will be <span class=3DS=
pellE>deguilded</span>.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<h2><span class=3DGramE><i><span style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'>Gr=
ounds
for removal.</span></i></span><span style=3D'font-family:Arial;color:white'=
><o:p></o:p></span></h2>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>If you hac=
k or
cheat in any way, you will be Guild removed immediately and reported to Son=
y.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>If you are
abusive or harass other players, anywhere in <span class=3DSpellE>Norrath</=
span>,
you will be Guild removed immediately.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>If you vio=
late
any of the rules stated above, you may be given a warning by one of the
Officers pointing out that what you&#8217;ve done is not acceptable for a
member of DT. If the behavior doesn&#8217;t stop immediately, or if it is
repeated, you will be Guild removed. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>If one of =
the
Officers receives a complaint about you from another person, the complaint =
will
be investigated to determine whether or not there is any merit to it. You w=
ill
be given the opportunity to present your case before a decision is made. If=
 the
complaint is serious and from a trusted, reputable source, you may <span
class=3DGramE>be</span> Guild removed immediately.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p><span style=3D'font-size:9.0pt;font-family:Arial;color:white'>You may ap=
peal a
Guild removal you feel was unjustified by contacting an Officer or the Guild
Leader and explaining your reasons.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
